Bruce Hoof was a founding partner is March 1989 of the law firm that is now Hoof & Hughes. Bruce and his family have extensive ties with the Durham community and, prior to forming the firm that is now Hoof & Hughes, Bruce was a partner in another local firm where he practiced for nearly 16 years. Jim Hughes joined the firm in November, 2006. Prior to that time, he was a partner in the highly respected Durham business law firm, Hudson, Hughes, and Powell, which dissolved in 2006. The merging of these two practices has enabled Bruce and Jim to combine their considerable experiences in the complex and often confusing realms of commercial, insurance, and personal injury law.
